On March 19, 1999, President of Portugal Jorge Sampaio visited Macau, and holds the meeting with China's vice premier of the State Council Qian Qishen. Both sides exchange the views for Macao's smooth transition and the handover problem after 9 months, the meeting is in a friendly atmosphere. Macao governor Rocha Vieira attended the talks

On April 13,1999. in the officially signed 12 anniversary of Sino-Portuguese Joint Declaration on the question of Macao, I used 2 commemorative postcards issued by the State Post Office on April 13,1987 for "the Sino-Portuguese Joint Declaration on the Macao" (1987.4.3 in Beijing), respectively Mailed to President of Portugal Jorge Sampaio and last Macao governor Rocha Vieira to request their signature

On September 15,1999.I finally received a thick letter from the governor's office in Macao. It is after five month . But compared to President Jorge Sampaio's postcard is very lucky, because there is no any reply to that postcard.

This thick reply letter , the content is quite rich. It can be used as a collection and research of historical data. In 2013, the philatelic items took fancy of a colledtor and transfer,I hope that they will continue to be spread under the care of the new owners.
