China and Portugal jointly issued No. 2001-23 named "Ancient sailing" commemorative stamps on Nov. 8, 2001 .

Total 2 pieces in the set of philatelic item: One is a first day international mailed postcard signed by Chinese ambassador to Portual Boyuan Lu. its size 149X101 m.m. It is being restructured from a PP30 regular stamped postcard "Human ancestor - the Yellow Emperor" issued by China National Post Office in 2001. There are 2 No. 2001-23 named "Ancient sailing" stamps in its facade, and 3 another stamps in order to make up the postage (Total 10.7 yuan RMB). There also are China postal 3 issue postmark ( Nov.8, 2001) and registered and aviation postmark, and Ambassador Lu's autograph. In addition, there were two relatively rare marks: One is the "People's Republic of China Embassy in Portugal" blue seal, 38 mm in diameter, there is relevant Portugal text in the outer ring ; Another is a black registration label, printed with CTC LISBOA (Lisbon), top four knights image and added CTT CORREIOS (CTT postal) red text. Because the space is very small in the postcard, the label was stuck on the stamps and covered them. This phenomenon is rare that again stuck theregistered label by destination country, It is found only in German post. There are pictures and words in the back of the postcard. They record related contents with this set of commemorative stamp.

Another item is an envelope for return the autographed postcard sent by Chinese Embassy. A Portual poatage label (80X24 m.m.) at upper left corner, Black text are FRANQUIA, PRIORITY, 140$（140 Escudo）, EUR 0.70，2001-12-13， LAPA 1200 LISBOA, EMP 005 etc. The label is not big, but has a lot of information. The embassy's information at upper right corner. The Nanjing post arrived postmark is very clear in its back. Both for the collection, especially the thematic collection- such as jointly issued stamp topic, first Day Covers (or postcard) topic, International Postal topic etc.--or the research on the history of philately,it all has important value.
